I DON'T UNDERSTAND!! What does it all mean? or is it supposed to simply be surreal, and dream fragmented?

why does it have to mean something?
what is meaning?

I just don't think it's always fruitful to approach images as if they all a direct allusion to something. I seldom intend for my work to 'have' or convey 'meaning' - whatever the fuck that means. And even if I do, it doesn't matter because meaning is made in context, meaning is made between you (the viewer) and the object being viewed. :)

I apologize for being vague. I go to art school, I'm chock full of bullshit all the time.

I guess I just don't know how to make my own art without putting a message or definite concept in it, and I always want to take something away from the work I see...I don't know how art can be totally void of meaning, but I'm learning to appreciate different kinds of beauty :)
It's not all good, it's not bullshit

Well I'm not saying that this piece, or my work in general, is void of meaning. I'm saying that I find meaning is produced more in the context of the work, rather than by the artist themselves. :)

If you made this one a print one day I would shit right in my pants, then buy one, as huge as possible, and hang it on the -front- of the TV so everyone gets to see it for hours at a time (while listening to the movies behind it)

i feel like the more dramatic moody lighting is much closer to the the eerie atmosphere of your heavily shaded drawings, and other paper work, which is quite cool to see
