The character on the right reminds me of Finn from Adventure Time.

Oh how I love to come here every once in a blue moon and find something that delighting!
I don't know what's disturbing me most in this scene. It's probably the wind-up squid that is the machine.
Or the Panda's eye-holes. Or the shoes.....

I find the overall atmosphere exquisite. (And I also, periphally mentioned, like squids.)
What pen/ink/x are the swift and lovely grass blades made of? I really like how they
stand out and give the ground discreet but poignant texturing. :)

Thank you for the kind words.
I painted the grass with a thin watercolour brush and a fan brush, and I used watercolours mixed with india ink. The painting itself is actually quite large so detailing went pretty easy.

I see. :)

Did you easily approach large formats? I'm rather intimidated by them. :(

Large canvases/surfaces are great. They're a lot of work, and not every idea needs to be iterated on a large scale, but when it works it's fun.

Don't be intimidated by art supplies buddy. They don't bite.
