I love it.
I don't know what's disturbing me most in this scene. It's probably the wind-up squid that is the machine.
Or the Panda's eye-holes. Or the shoes.....
I find the overall atmosphere exquisite.
What pen/ink/x are the swift and lovely grass blades made of? I really like how they
stand out and give the ground discreet but poignant texturing.
I painted the grass with a thin watercolour brush and a fan brush, and I used watercolours mixed with india ink. The painting itself is actually quite large so detailing went pretty easy.
Did you easily approach large formats? I'm rather intimidated by them.
Don't be intimidated by art supplies buddy. They don't bite.
