Artist's Comments

Nother little sketch, for a big painting.
No, no inspired by Damien Hirst. Let me explain:
Remember the movie "Babe"? About the talking pig? In the opening credits (I think) I remember the camera panning across a collection of pig/meat/butcher paraphernalia, and there was this one meat drawer shaped like a pig, and it opened up in sections - displaying rows of sausages, assorted meats, etc. When I was a kid I thought that in particular was pretty fucked up, but no one else did. Anyway, this drawing makes me really hungry. brb food.

Ah, Babe, loved that movie! (My geology professor looks JUST like the farmer). Don't remember the pig-shaped drawer, but now I am intrigued...

Love this. I really like the face and the hanging stars.

I think I remember that scene. I used to shut my eyes at the start - that was probably why. This is weirdly cute though...

it's been like 6 or 7 years since I read that book, and that was only because I was writing it. - Chris Wooding
